Japanese doctor who lived to age 105: his spartan lifestyle, retirement views, and other longevity tips
Dr. Shigeaki hinohara led an extraordinary life. The Japanese physician, longevity expert and acquirer of the title lived to the age 105.
Hinohara died in 2017 as chairman emeritus and honorary president, respectively, of St. Luke’s International University in Tokyo, and St. Luke’s International Hospital.
Hinohara is best known for the book \”Living Long, Living well,\” which he wrote. In it, he offers advice that has helped Japan become the world leader in long life. While some of the points were obvious, others were not.
