SRF campaign focuses on mitochondrial DNA
The SENS Research Foundation announced its next funding project following the success of the first experiment.com fundraising campaign. This campaign raised money to identify therapeutics which reduce senescent cells accumulation and increase healthspan.
We covered last month’s fundraiser for Dr Abdelhadi Rebbaa to fund his research into discovering and testing novel senolytic molecule, which could lead him to discover potential anti-senescence therapies. SRF confirmed that the campaign has now been fully funded.
SENS Research Foundation launched its second experiment.com for Dr Amutha Boominathan’s project Finding cures for mitochondrial diseases through COX2 variants to restore cell functionality. The campaign will end on the 30th of August. Dr Boominathan heads the MitoSENS Program at SENS Research Foundation.
