Stress can accelerate biological aging, but recovery can reverse it

A study suggests that biological age increases with stress and is reversed upon recovery.

In a new study, both in mice and in humans, it was found that biological aging is dynamic and that stress-induced increases in biological aging can be reversed by recovery. Cell Metab olism published the research.

How do we determine age?

The biological age of a person is not always the same as their chronological age. While chronological age measures the length of time that you’ve been alive, your biological age shows how your cells have aged over the course of your life.
