Two futurists at SXSW want to replace your brain and freeze your body when you die.
Nikos Acuna, who moderates this SXSW transhumanism panel, believes that you might mistakenly think we are not in Texas but in a strange episode of Black Mirror.
You’d even be forgiven for doing so, as it is being discussed to cryo-preserve the body once declared dead in the hope that you will be resurrected one day when science can safely defrost the body and cure your ailments. Mind uploading and neural prosthetics are also discussed. It may sound like science fiction, but today the science fiction is becoming reality.
