Google’s AI-based medical chatbot has already been tested in hospitals
Mayo Clinic is said to have been testing this system since April.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Google’s MedPaLM 2 AI tool, which is designed to answer medical questions, has been tested at Mayo Clinic Research Hospital, among other places, since April.
Google’s updated Med-PaLM 2 model was developed using a curated collection of expert medical demonstrations. Google believes that this will help it to be more effective in countries where doctors are less available.
Google claims that doctors prefer their answers even if the information is less accurate.
