The Artificial Muscles Robotic Arm: A Test of the Next Level in Robotic Technology

Artificial Muscles Robotic arm Full range of motion + Static strength test (V11).
We have developed a robotic technology that is strong, efficient, biomimetic and soft, as well as clean, organic, affordable, and safe. Weight of dumbbells: 7 kg (15.6 lbs). Forearm weights only 1 kg (2.2 lbs).

This artificial muscles robotic hand is powered by water, and consumes up to 200W. We invented and produced portable power supply, and our own electrohydraulic mini-valves to have full controllability of the speed contraction.

As of now, our robotic arm can only be controlled by half the artificial muscles compared to an average human. Strongest finger-bending muscle still missing. The muscles are not yet present in the fingers, but they will move left to right. The left-to-right and metacarpal wrist movements are also blocked. This version has a position sensor in each joint but they are yet to be software-implemented. In the next prototype, we will add all of the above.

The movement sequence was created and sent to a hand by simple commands. We want to create a platform to learn reinforcement, to build prosthetic arms, and eventually to make full humanoid robotics that can serve as butlers and cleaners and chauffeurs and construction workers in space.
