Diet Change In Old Age May Lead To Longevity: Study
Reduced food consumption must be implemented early, and sustained.
Somebody said it right: \”Healthy eating starts with you.\” Maintaining a healthy body weight and nourishing your body with the proper nutrients can help you remain active and independent as you age. A recent study in Nature Metabolism suggests that reducing food intake in old age can improve the health of both humans and animals. This will lead to increased longevity. To improve health and extend lifespan in old age, it is important to establish a diet plan earlier in life. Scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Cologne, Cambridge, and UCL, as well as the Excellence Cluster for Ageing Research, observed that mice are healthier when fed moderately from an early age and maintain it until they reach old age.
