The BPF Prize for Ultrafast Fixation of Glutaraldehyde: A Breakthrough in Large Mammal Brain Preservation

Large Mammal BPF Prize Winning Announcement

The technology that preserves synapses in the entire brain of a large animal has been successful

Researchers have shown for the first time ever that they can preserve the brain’s connectome, (the 150 trillion connections thought to store all of an individual’s knowledge), for centuries of storage in large mammals. This lab demonstration paves the way for Aldehyde Stabilized Cryopreservation to become a \”last resort\” medical option that will prevent the destruction the unique connectome of the patient, and offer at least some hope of future revival via mind-uploading. On the evaluation page, you can see images and videos that demonstrate the quality of this preservation method.
