Why I am Future Positive on my Birthday
Birthdays are a positive thing. In the context of ageing research, you should consider them a positive.
It was not so long ago that I celebrated my 44th Birthday. I decided to finally write about something I had been thinking about for some time. Some people celebrate their birthdays, while others view it as a negative event.
If you look at it negatively, then you might see that this is a simple reminder that you are another year older, and one year closer to death. This is not the way I view it. In fact, I believe quite opposite. I see this as another step towards our goal, the victory of age-related illnesses due to the advancement of rejuvenation technology that allows for longer and healthier life.
According to my perspective, whether you view birthdays or the passing of time as positive or negative is largely dependent on your knowledge and understanding of aging research, which is what I would like to discuss today.
