The graveyard encounter that left me fearing the unknown: Part 2.

A Chance Encounter at a Graveyard Part 2

This is part two of a fictional short story about a young man who realizes for the first-time that he wants to prevent aging and dying. The first part was published last Friday. You can read it by clicking here.

Although I felt ashamed to admit it, I was cautious all the way up to my front door. It was late in the evening and I did not see anyone in the halls or elevator. I wasn’t going to use the elevator at first because I was afraid the girl would appear in front of me as the doors opened. However, taking the stairs seemed even more terrifying. I decided to take the lift after a little hesitation. After a brief hesitation, I turned the key after inserting it in the lock. As the sound echoed in the hall, I stopped at each turn to make sure it didn’t draw the attention of whatever supernatural creature was lurking there. Nothing looked out of the ordinary, but I felt like I was in a horror film.

I opened the crack between the door frame and the door, stuck my hand in and searched frantically for the light switch. While searching for the light switch, I said \”Finally Home\” in an embarrassed and loud voice. As soon as I found the switch, I flicked the switch and the light came on. I then opened the door, ran inside, and slammed it shut behind me.
