The poorest people in England are dying nearly ten years younger than the rich

The trend of the \”deeply concerning\” poor dying ten years younger is a disturbing one.

A new study has revealed the widening gap in life expectancy between the richer and poorer classes of people living in England. I first noticed this trend years ago, between entire nations and social or minority groups. I suggested that we focus on scientific research to extend lifespans indefinitely so that the difference of a few years would not be important (Lens Pechakova, Rejuvenation Res. 2014 Apr;17(2):239-42, but life extension still isn’t on the agenda.

The life expectancy gap between the richest and the poorest sections of society is growing in England.

Imperial College London has released a new study that reveals the results of a recent research project.

Researchers say that this trend is \”deeply concerning\”. The study, which was published in the Lancet Public Health journal, also shows that life expectancy for England’s poorest females has decreased since 2011.
