Tomorrow Biostasis – The Berlin startup that wants to bring you back from the dead
What if death wasn’t the end? Instead of saying goodbye to our loved ones forever, what if we could freeze their body and bring them back alive once medical technology is advanced enough to cure the fatal illness? Tomorrow Biostasis is a Berlin-based startup specializing in cryopreservation.
Biostasis, or cryonics as it is also called, is the preservation of a body (or a brain) in suspended animation in the hope of being able to revive the body in the future, when medical technology will be advanced enough for the treatment of the original cause. Tomorrow Biostasis, one of the only companies that offer this service, is not a science fiction story.
Dr Emil Kendziorra explained that cryopreservation aims to prolong life by preserving the human body until the cure for the original disease can be found. He stressed that cryopreservation was not a method of immortality but a way to provide people with a second chance.
