Understanding the neural interface in the brain is crucial to understand aging, disease progression, and learning. The methods used to study neurons in animal brains for better understanding human brains have limitations. They can be too invasive or not detect enough information.
A new pop-up device that measures the electrical activity of individual neurons could provide more detailed information on their interactions while limiting brain tissue damage.
