A vaccine that was developed to eliminate aging cells in mice’s bodies has been successful. This helped prolong their lives and reverse age-related diseases.
Researchers say that the experiment could be a first step in developing a vaccine similar to the one used for humans. But, can it work?
Paul Robbins is a professor of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biophysics and Associate Director of the Institute on the Biology of Aging and Metabolism, University of Minnesota. He said of the study on mice, \”I thought the data were extremely strong… I believe it’s really good proof of principle.\” The same approach should work for humans.
