Exercise protein doubles running ability, restores function, and extends healthy lives in older mice
New research shows that exercising humans release a powerful hormonal substance. The study also found that mice treated with this hormone improved their physical capacity, performance and fitness. Researchers claim that the findings offer new ways to combat age-related decline in physical ability.
The research published in Nature Communications on Wednesday reveals how mitochondrial genome encodes instructions to regulate physical capacity, performance, and metabolism during ageing and may increase healthy lifespan.
