Unveiling Elixirs of Immortality from an Ancient Chinese Tomb

Archaeologists discovered an elixir of immortality hidden in an old tomb

Archaeologists from China discovered some interesting objects in an ancient tomb that dates back to 202 BC. One of these items was a bronze container which still contained liquid. The liquid was initially thought to be a type of wine. However, closer inspection has revealed its true purpose.

China’s Xinhua News Agency now reports that the beverage is actually an \”elixir for immortality\”, which matches descriptions in ancient documents. Scientists have tested the substance and if they are correct, it is unlikely to prolong life and could even accelerate death.
