One day, a simple urine test may be all that is needed to determine our biological age as well as future health risks.
A team of researchers, led by Jian Ping Cai at the MOH Key Laboratory of Geriatrics in Beijing Hospital, discovered in a recent study two new biomarkers of aging in urine. These markers are produced from oxidation of DNA and RNA. These markers may help us predict our chances of getting an age-related illness or even dying.
