The LEAF Advisory Board Expands
We are constantly growing and doing more, so we need more specialist guidance and knowledge to inform our company’s decisions. Our scientific and business advisors are a great source of advice and expertise, and this week we added two more experts to our team.
Steven A. Garan is joining our scientific advisory council. Steven Garan is Director of Bioinformatics and a member of the advisory board at the Center for Research & Education on Aging. He is also a researcher with the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He played a key role in the invention of the Automated Imaging Microscope System, and worked for many years in Paola S. Timiras’ lab to research the role caloric restrictions play in maintaining the estrogen receptor-alpha receptor and IGH-1 receptor antibodies in different nuclei of mouse hypothalamus.
Steven is also the Director of the Aging Center, and a leader in the field. He has published numerous articles, including those on systems biology and the effects of caloric restrictions on the mouse’s hypothalamus. He is most famous for coining \”Phenomics\”, a term defined in an abstract in the journal Experimental Gerontology entitled \”Phenomics: A new direction for neuroendocrine ageing research\”.
