Y Combinator is giving you $1,000,000 to cure aging
The renowned startup incubator Y Combinator has issued a call to companies who want to improve human longevity and health span.
Sam Altman, YC’s president, told MIT Technology Review that they are looking for founders who have new ideas to treat old age diseases such as Alzheimer’s. \”But we will also look at more radical antiaging schemes,\” he added.
Why longevity? The funding for efforts to prevent old age is not very high. Altman says that he believes the economic incentives for drug companies are messed up. I don’t believe we have enough people asking, \”How can we make more people healthier?\”
