Yale scientists restore the brain function of 32 dead pigs

Yale is making waves. Over the last three years, they have published some great research papers. Some of this has proved my constant words for the past two decades that there is a pandemic that attacks individual Eukaryotic cell all day long causing what AEWR named the Senesonic Plague the disease that we call aging. Researchers at Yale School of Medicine were a majority of the researchers. They did not come from House Greyjoy – \”What is dead can never die\”. The researchers connected 32 pigs brains to the system Brain Ex. Brain Ex is a perfusion artificial system, which means that it takes over functions that are normally controlled by an organ. Imagine a mind-dialysis machine. The pigs were killed at a U.S. Department of Agriculture meat-slaughterhouse four hours before, with their brains removed completely from their skulls.

Brain Ex used a solution that mimicked blood flow to pump into the brain. It provided oxygen and nutrients for the brain tissues to start many normal functions. The cells started consuming sugars and metabolizing them. The brain’s immune system reacted. Neuronal samples can carry electrical signals. Some brain cells responded to drugs.

Researchers have been able to sustain some brains for up to 36-hours. However, they do not yet know if Brain Ex could have sustained brains for longer. It is possible that we are only preventing the inevitable and the brain will not be able recover,\” said Nenad Sestan, Yale neuroscientist, the lead researcher.
