Yaron Fauchs Receives Sartorius and Science Prize
Yaron Fauchs has won the Sartorius & Science Prize for Regenerative Medicine & Cell Therapy for his work that reveals the role of programmed stem cells death in tissue regeneration and wound healing. In his winning essay \”The Therapeutic Promise of Apoptosis,\” Fuchs’ findings could pave the path to new regenerative medicine therapies and cancer treatments that target stem cell apoptosis, a type programmed death.
The grand prize winner of 2018 revealed that programmed stem cell deaths play a key role in wound healing, tissue regeneration and possibly in cancer therapies.
